![]() Thanks so much for your collective wisdom! I am really hoping the symptoms and codes will help suggest what to do next, or maybe even a couple of things to try if expediency is a primary goal. I meant to pull the new plug today after running it briefly but didn't. When I first got the ATV last month, I assumed lean and as told a white plug. I can feather the throttle and keep it running, and in fact, even get the RPM to go all the way up. ![]() I can slowly* increase throttle and RPM goes up until ~2500RPM when it will start to cough and sputter, and will even drop RPM and die. ![]() Symptoms: Starts fine every time, idles fine. With your vast experience with these Polaris 500 EFI systems, you have a handle on what typically fails and what best matches my symptoms! After being disconnected for a day and taking the advice to connect the positive and negative, the old codes should have been cleared. Considering the only changes were the plug, fuel filter, and crankcase breather filter I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was at least hoping I would lose some "old" codes. I got the exact same codes and it ran just like it did before. ![]() I put back all the plumbing, sensors, and everything should be ready to test again. Without being a contortionist, I couldn't get the solenoid cable back on, so I simply made a longer 6ga cable and solved that problem. Because it got dark, I didn't get things buttoned up so the bat got a good charge and then I proceeded to try and put it back together. ![]()
